My client is a multinational company with a global brand name. They focus on the development and global distribution of state-of-the-art technologies, both the area of entertainment and also in the commercial environment. Responsibilities:
My client has a small, dedicated engineering team working on next-generation input devices and displays. They use a specifically designed framework to model and simulate current technologies as well as technologies in development. We are looking for an engineer who will join the team and play an important role in maintaining and improving the modelling framework.
You will need to be in contact with the members of the team to have a good understanding of what is required from the framework in terms of performance. You can support and develop large-scale data processing via cloud computing. Data processing is key here; support data collection and the processing of large datasets. This can also include parallel data processing and platform virtualization.
You can expect to mainly be working with C related languages – C, C++, and C is crucial here. We need someone with strong skills in Bash and Python scripting and Perl is also an advantage.
We require:
• Bachelor or Master degree in from an IT background
• 1 year or more experience in programming; this position is open for Junior and Senior candidates
• 2-5 years’ experience in an IT operations department
• Modelling experience of a technology will be an advantage here
• Excellent expertise with C/C++
• Excellent skills with scripting (Bash, Python, an advantage is Perl)
• Experience with Matlab is a plus
• Orientation in hardware description languages e.g. VHDL is a plus
• Elementary experience with assembly language is a plus
• English language is a must
