Our client is a multinational company with a global, well-known brand name. Here in the Czech market they have an international IT centre providing IT services their business entities in different countries.

Responsibilities:
Provide second level of application support of Freight services (Freightsoft/OPAC) to client´s Freight business unit in order to ensure the maximum availability and minimal disruption to business continuity.
Deliver application support within Service Level Agreements to freight business users
according to ITS processes with the main focus on Incident and Problem Management
Demonstrate ownership of assigned events and incidents through to restoration and
collaborate with other support teams within the organization and external suppliers
Coordinate activities and communicate with impacted stakeholders as per incident management process
Maintain and gain current knowledge of supported applications
Support delivery of build projects through its lifecycle (focus on user and technical
acceptance testing (UAT/TAT), RTP and post implementation support)
Seek to continuously improve efficiency within supported applications
We require:
Hands-on experience with UNIX based operating systems
Experience in application support
Knowledge of RDBMS, proficiency in SQL (T-SQL desired),
Participate in weekend’s on-call support
Preferred knowledge of any common scripting languages e.g. bash, Perl or Python
Preferred experience in automated testing
Desired ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast paced, changing environment to achieve goals and deadlines
Positive attitude, responsible and customer focused
Team player
Very good communication skills
Preferable strong analytical thinking
