Big Data Administrator/Developer

What will you do here?
- Applicant will operate and participate on development of Big Data stack based on Hadoop and associate tools.
Responsibilities
- Assist end users and application developers with issues using the Hadoop Cluster
- Conduct installs, patching, and upgrades of Hadoop Cluster and other Big Data Platforms
- Configuration Management and Automation of deployments, cluster configuration
- Assist with Proof of Concept projects to validate Big Data/Messaging technology
- Development and support of big data feeds
What knowledge and skills do we expect?
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem resolution skills
- Understanding Hadoop architecture and operations
- Demonstrated proficiency with at least one scripting language (i.e. Bash, Python)
- Strong system Administration experience on a Linux platform, preferably RHEL
- SQL skills
- Team player with good communication and interpersonal skills
Nice To Have
- Experience with the Cloudera Hadoop distribution
- Experience working in a secured Hadoop Cluster environment (Network access restrictions, Kerberos)
- Experience with ODI is welcome
- Experience with NoSQL Database (HBase, Redis, ELK stack) or Spark is a bonus
- Experience with realtime messaging/streaming technology (Flume, Kafka, RabbitMQ) is a bonus
