Microsoft’s EMEA Consumer & Device Sales (CDS) is looking for Finance leaders with strong finance & business acumen to play a leadership role in in running a compliant business, managing a P&L and growing the EMEA CDS business.Our team works across all Microsoft products and services sold to Consumers from XBOX One to Surface, Office and Windows. We partner with internal and external customers alike with the goal of maximizing revenue, market share, and mutual profit with our partners
The Central and Eastern Europe Sub Region Finance lead function spans all finance functions, working with Marketing to drive our product categories, with Supply and Ops to ensure we have the right product in the right places, with Sales to understand our Partner Account mechanics and Channel Strategy.
Role Specific
The Central and Eastern Europe Sub-Region (SR) Finance lead is an excellent opportunity to be at the heart of driving the dynamic Consumer & Devices Business in our region. Partnering with the Central and Eastern Europe Sub-region (SR) Leadership team, the Finance Lead will manage and review financial performance of the business, identify and critically assess investment opportunities optimizing between margin & share and shape the landing of our WW strategy in the local market.
He/She will be also responsible for establishing processes, driving impact by reporting on key financial metrics, providing insightful financial analysis to drive business decisions in a compliant way.

Key Accountabilities
Leadership & Management
CDS Central and Eastern Europe (CEE) SR Finance Lead must be able to work effectively in a matrix organization - understanding and fostering interactions between the Sub-regions and EMEA wide team on areas such as product supply planning, forecasting, budgeting, growth planning process, as well as across the sales, marketing and business group teams in EMEA
Be an active participant within both the CEE, EMEA and WW CDS finance communities.
Be a learner on all aspects of the business including Operations, Marketing and Sales. Inform and advise leaders across both the Finance and Business Orgs on key financial processes to enable them to be successful.
Create an environment of balanced decision making on growth plans, driving the business to identify both risk and opportunity. Act as a steward to the business by putting the company first and approaching business challenges with an entrepreneurial mindset.
Ability to work not only within the defined processes but recognize opportunities to fundamentally improve how we operate and act as a change agent, using both formal and informal communication styles to involve others.
Drives Finance & Business Excellence
Fully accountable for driving effective and efficient financial processes (planning, budgeting, forecasting, close) resulting in timely analysis of results, accurate forecast and aggressive but achievable targets.
Understand the story behind the numbers and translate this into forward looking narratives and forecasts which incorporate: maximizing opportunities; and which align to underlying Business and Market Insight
Ensure a culture of compliance in the Region leveraging data and analytics to identify our risks and treat audits as learning opportunity
Successfully leverage predictive analytics and machine learning to assess forecast and time analysis trends at aggregate
Focus on driving profitable growth by identifying growth levers, drive cost efficacies, and be an integral part of the sub region decision making process when it comes to resource allocation and decision support
Establish unified Consumer and Devices Sales (CDS) financial processes including Forecast and Budget. Drive an efficient, impactful and robust finance rhythm across CDS to achieve its business & financial goals
Delivers Results through Teamwork: Work through others and across teams, aligning people and resources, utilizing the community that delivers expected business results
Understand and clearly communicate Consumer Channel market perspective by analyzing key retailers, market share, inventory levels, key performance indicators and consumer behavior
Represent Microsoft externally by showcasing the value of Microsoft technologies to our customers and partners
Build a Strong Business Partnership
Partner with the Segment and Product Groups for continuous learning on the products and market dynamics mainly focusing on cloud products and devices performance, digital transformation and life time value of the product
Provide insightful commentary to the management, such that they in turn can drive informed business decisions and actions.
Formulate objectively and with Growth Mindset opinions and defend data driven viewpoints with business partners
Challenges existing norms or courses of action, facilitating fully informed decision making
Helps institute balanced decision making, driving the business to identify both risk and opportunity. Acts as a good steward of the transformation and change culture by acting as the conscience of the company and approaches problems with Growth Mindset
Drive the investment decisions in a timely manner in line with the market dynamics. Apply Growth Mindset to the investment discussions.
Compliance
Provide input into and/or implement accounting policies and procedures to ensure compliance to Microsoft accounting polices/practice.

Qualifications
15+ years of experience in finance
Experience in Multinationals is recommended
Fluent in English
BA/BS or MBA degree in Finance, Economics
Effective Communicator - Strong written and verbal communications skills and ability to flex up and down and organization structure
Ability to work in matrix organization, dealing with ambiguity
Influence skills to drive effective decision-making by business partners
