The Manufacturing industry solution executive’s (ISE) primary goal is to directly support revenue growth by establishing Microsoft as a leading business solutions provider in manufacturing sector. The ISE will help to grow Microsoft’s market share in Manufacturing sector by driving demand generation and working with account teams and partners to develop the market. The success of the ISE role is primarily measured by digital transformation opportunity generation and the growth of solution area (SA) revenue.

Responsibilities
Engage with the account teams to generate revenue and include customers’ business decision makers (BDMs) in digital transformation conversations and initiatives:

  • Participate fully in Account Planning, contributing industry expertise to the process.
  • Drive line of business (LOB) opportunity creation through knowledge of the industry, Microsoft software and independent solution vendor (ISV) solutions.
  • Provide industry knowledge, content and resources to Microsoft’s account teams and partners.
  • Assist in identifying and pursuing large revenue opportunities across the Manufcaturing account base.Subject matter expert (SME) for the Manufcaturing team in 'Enterprise Commericial':
  • Help develop and own the Industry Strategy for Manufacturing in Central and Eastern Europe (CEE).
  • Contribute to the wider Manufacturing community at Microsoft.
  • Develop the CEE market through knowledge sharing with Manufacturing customers.
  • Coach and provide industry knowledge to account teams and specialists in order to enable the advancement of business decision maker (BDM) relationships.
  • Develop and maintain a clear and credible ‘solution area’ strategy and solution map for all local solutions, including relevant partners and contact details.
  • Collect and share competitive insights from BDMs and partners.
  • Drive customer evidence in Manufacturing e.g. case studies, quotes, references etc.
  • Contribute to Social Media for Manufacturing market presence.

Qualifications

  • Candidates must have a proven understanding of the Manufacturing industry and the business imperatives driving digital transformation. In addition, candidates should have a strong understanding of the software vendor ecosystem related to these business imperatives and be able to identify leading solution vendors or systems integrators with relevant repeatable solutions or domain practices.
  • Candidates must also demonstrate strong solutions sales skills (or an aptitude for sales) acquired through manufacturing based sales or consulting positions. Experience of work as a consultant within an independent solution vendor or systems integrator is a plus.
  • Candidates will ideally be able to demonstrate strong leadership credentials, gained through leading teams (or virtual teams) in large, complex organisations.
  • An understanding of advanced, cloud-based technologies and services, is advantageous.
