Savour the art of the silver screen thanks to FebioFest Culinary Cinema held 24 – 26 March at andel’s by Vienna House Prague.
Being one of the most prestigious film festivals in the Czech Republic, FebioFest has seen the likes of Claudia Cardinale, Alan Rickman, Roman Polanski or Daniel Brühl as honorary guests. This year, neo-noir cult legend director Abel Ferrara (Bad Lieutenant, King of New York) will receive the Kristián Award for Contribution to World Cinema.
But FebioFest isn’t all about movies. The festival also has a special focus on cuisine – the FebioFest Culinary Cinema, inspired by and in collaboration with Berlinale Film Festival. The festival will offer 3 movies night followed by exclusive dinner at the excellently rated andel’s Vienna House Prague hotel, right next to the cinema. Located in the popular 'Andel' district, the andel’s by Vienna House Prague stands for design, modern architecture and a warm welcome. Ideally suited for business travellers and holiday makers alike, both the hotel itself and the apartment complex are surrounded by cool shops, boutique stores and trendy restaurants, and the Old Town is within a walking distance.
The Culinary Cinema menu will be inspired by the movie screened that night and will be prepared by Michelin-recognized restaurant chefs like Matteo De Carli from Casa De Carli or Ondřej Koráb, chef at Prague’s Le Grill restaurant.
FebioFest started in 1993 by an independent film and TV company and has now turned into the biggest festival in the Czech Republic, but has still managed to keep the casual, audience-friendly vibe that it began with. Even if oriented towards full-length feature films, the festival also offers distribution premieres and promotion for unknown independent filmmakers and experimental films. There’s also a section dedicated for kids’ cinema – FebioFest Junior.
The city of Prague has everything to make visiting the festival the perfect experience – the restaurants, the bars, the nightlife and the culture are all things that would make you want to visit and stay as long as possible. The festival is celebrated each year in Cinestar Anděl, just around the corner from andel’s Vienna House Prague.
Tickets for Culinary Cinema are on sale at Ticketportal and the price always includes the film screening and the dinner. Tickets cost CZK 1,790.
