Marketing & Communications Representative - External Staff Position

This position is a contingent staff position and employed by an external agency in service for Microsoft

The Job

Czech, Slovakia and Hungary (CSH) is a newly joint cluster within Microsoft Consumer & Device Sales Group where an integrated and first-class marketing communication plays a crucial role. As a result, we are looking for an experienced marketing communication expert who will drive the cluster’s marketing & communication and PR strategy and execution.

The Impact You’ll Be Making

• Driving the marketing communication strategy & agenda for all line of businesses (Devices, Office and Gaming) within the Consumer & Device Sales Group for Czech, Slovakian and Hungarian markets
• Conceptualizing and executing creative consumer PR and marketing campaigns with media and other partners, ensuring/coordinating an integrated marketing activity plan
• Maintaining relationships with the media, expanding Microsoft’s network to journalists, bloggers and influencers within and beyond technology-focused media
• Keeping contacts updated on products and developing custom pitches
• Organizing PR events and briefings, managing and leveraging international PR events locally
• Managing PR & marketing agencies and supervising asset development for all consumer and device sales marketing campaigns
• Ensuring alignment between Category, Sales and Marketing activities
• Ensuring communication and alignment between EMEA/CEE HQ and the local cluster
• Driving internal communications agenda to ensure CDS CSH cluster’s visibility
• Identifying and leveraging Microsoft best practices for local marcom activities

   

Who We Are Looking For

• Self-starter, proactive, autonomous, confident and ready to make a difference – with a “godo” attitude
• Experience in consumer marketing/communications/PR (3-5 years)
• Ability to create strategy and execute implementation at the same time
• Having worked in multinational environment/matrix organization
• Good relationship management skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Preferred language skills: fluency in English, Czech and Hungarian – English and Czech or Hungarian is a must
• Consumer electronics experience or IT affinity is an advantage
