Our client is is a growing company with specific requirements on suppliers in regards to delivery terms, quality, quantity, and sometimes non-standard components and parts. As a Senior Procurement Manager you will be responsible for team of Purchasers, Purchase Planners and Supplier Quality Engineers. You will manage the entire process from sourcing the suppliers to new product introduction, making sure there is no interruption in the material flow to the production.
You should enjoy doing the following:
• Managing the Purchasing team directly, the Purchase Planning and the Supplier Quality team via mid managers
• Developing the supplier base, managing high-level supplier relationships
• Ensuring all components are sourced and released on time and at the right cost
• Driving the early supplier involvement (e.g. design in workshops)
• Assuming end to end responsibility for New Product Introduction (NPI)
• Improving the supplier lead time and flexibility
• Introducing and maintaining relevant processes and procedures
• Developing your teams, assessing their strengths, bolstering their team spirit, mentoring and coaching
• Helping to improve the general company culture by being fair and open-minded
Your job would be very hard without having these:
• 5 years experience as a manager in Procurement, Logistics, Purchasing or similar
• University education
• Positive approach, ability to motivate others, open-minded
• Ok approach to changes, ability to drive changes and improvements
