Structural Wind Engineer

For our client, a premier insurance company, we are looking for an enthusiastic, hardworking and motivated Structural Engineer to join a young and dynamic team in Prague.
Key responsibilities include:
Development of the damage/vulnerability component – starting with European Windstorm Catastrophe model
Management of data collection from Insurance and Reinsurance companies to calibrate models
Communication with clients, team members, academic bodies etc.
Design, development and testing of model to improve performance
Requirements include:
Masters degree or a PhD in civil/structural engineering or related quantitative subject
Strong computational, statistical and analytical skills
Programming skills for modelling of engineering problems
Knowledge and understanding of Building Design Standards
Knowledge of vulnerability assessment methods
Strong presentation skills with focus on simlification of complex concepts
